RSMods is great as well, but direct mode is just the legacy of the nocable patch. Had tried ASIO but its a big pain to get set up, and this works with no latency at all, and is trivial to set up.

Or you can use an external audio interface like a Focusrite Scarlett or similar Edit: using an external interface is not. and it works perfectly (Where the Rocksmith cable creates stuttering at latency settings that low). Yep, you can get a guitar cable with a USB connector, like the branded Rocksmith RealTone cable. but to get me to move from a binder of printed out guitar tabs to a gamified system requiring all of this DRM, it needs to be a pretty rock-solid product with very few flaws. I already did a workaround to play using a P3 divisor, so i can use a P2 to P10 cable to send my guitar signal and my P3 headphones to listen to the game, but there is a input lag and i did EVERYTHING i could to make it better, but nothing worked (yes, i used no cable patch).Īfter that i bought a Guitar Link to see if i could have less cables around my laptop and have less input lag, but Rocksmith does not get any sound if i use a Berhinger driver and i don't know how to make it work (but guitar rig 5 does recognize and it works fine), so i managed to get it working by installing it with windows generic driver, but the input lag was still there and if i play too many notes, my guitar does a really loud crackling noise and only stops if i mute my guitar for some seconds (still, i used no cable patch).Īnd here we go to my question: Can i get it working fine if i use a USB guitar cable? Will i need the no cable patch? Will there be too much input lag? I really want to play this game, but there is so much headache to make anything work properly without that stupid Real Tone Cable. Rocksmith 2014 Edition: Remastered (v165.396631 + All (>1500) DLCs, MULTI6) FitGirl Repack, Selective Download from 9.9 GB. Hopefully future patches improve the reliability of this product. I play on a laptop and the only connections that i have are: 1 P3 input (input/output) and 2 USB 3.0. Rocksmith® 2014 Edition - Remastered > General Discussions > Topic Details.

You can find the patch on a lot of websites: just google rocksmith 2014 without cable - you can even find a link on the subreddit, its that well known. Tengo el cable original de Real tone, lo usaba con mi guitarra en ps3 pero aqui no me es compatible, nose si hay que bajar algun driver o algo. You can get a 1/4 inch - 1/4inch and then just use a 25mm adapter. Okay, i know: "Real Tone Cable is better", but here where i live there is no place where i can buy it and if i import from somewhere else, then i'll be expensive af. There is a patch around that will allow you to use any cable.
